4 Ways To Crown Your Maang Tikka

In our last post, Bling On The Maang Tikka, we were gushing about the various styles of maang tikka one can wear.  Like most modern brides (and bridesmaids) - you've probably not worn a maang tikka before.  One of the most common questions asked by brides is 'how shall I wear my hair with a maang tikka ?' 

Here are 4 Ways To Crown Your Maang Tikka 

1.  Bun It Up

Whether it's a fiercely tight bun at your pheras or a big bun the oomph - your maang tikka will definitely stand out.

2.  Braid Away

We've noticed that quite a few brides are opting for a bold maang tikka for their mehendi functions and these look great with a messy braid or a fishtail braid.  It's sooooo Punjabi that we can't help but want to break out the dance moves ! 

3.  Keep It Flowy 

If you're lucky to have a long hair (or don't mind wearing extensions for the added length) then another way to wear your maang tikka is with flowing hair with soft wavy curls.  We love this look for a beach party or an evening cocktail. 

4.  Back-it-Up with an Up-Do

Think classic up-do topped with a back-comb with loose waves.  That's right - with this style, you can could wear a single maang tikka or a more delicate multi-layered tikka a la Deepika and you'd be the belle of the ball !
